Turopolje pigs since 2007

Why an ancient animal breed and why Turopolje?

The positive thing about the Turopolje pig is that it is very robust and easy to care for. One reason for the purchase was that this breed needs shelter but not a stall, precisely because they are so wind and weatherproof and also tolerate winter temperatures well. Since the pigs have been grazing and rooting on Hermann Hager's farm, they have never been sick. This may also be due to good and varied feeding.

“In addition, the quality of the meat is not comparable to conventional animals and is much better,” says top culinary expert Hermann Hager
